Kevin L. Lizárraga, 31, is a Los Angeles born artist who resides with his wife in California. His art ranges from tattooing, graphic design, photo realistic, abstract, painterly, illustrative, and large-scale commissioned art.
Over the years, Kevin has produced several thousand sketches and drawings that demonstrate his capacity and eagerness to grow at every turn in his life. In March of 2008 he picked up a tattoo machine and began practicing on grapefruits. After a few months of studying and training he obtained his OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Certification, and then tattooed himself...the rest is history.
Kevin is inspired by the symbolic world that surrounds him. His paintings and tattoos are conceptual, emotional, and, in the series of paintings King and the Myth of 9/11, dangerously controversial.
Kevin earned a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at California State University, Northridge. While earning his bachelor’s degree Kevin minored in Art and continues to draw and tattoo as much as possible. As a life long artist and writer, he is truly dedicated to being a creative force in the universe. For Kevin, art is a passion ingrained in his family – his mother and siblings are all exceptionally talented artists.
